Dr. Joachim Stöter studied Psychology at the Universities of Osnabrück, Bremen and Vienna with a focus on pedagogical, legal, political and organizational psychology. From February 2008 to January 2011, he was a Research Associate in the field of didactics of political education, initially at the Carl von Ossietzky University in Oldenburg and from December 2009 to January 2011 at the Gottfried-Wilhelm-Leibniz-Universität Hannover. Since January 2011, Dr. Stöter has been a Research Assistant at the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg. From 2014 to 2015 he worked in a project for enhancing teaching quality (project FliF). Until April 2015, he was a Research Associate in the scientific supervision of the BMBF project “Aufstieg durch Bildung: Öffnung der Hochschulen” and since May 2015 he has coordinated a network for “Open Universities”.  At the Center for Lifelong Learning (C3L) at the University of Oldenburg, he is responsible for digital strategies. He received his doctorate on heterogeneous students, digitization and opening up the universities in April 2018.
