Orientation week & freshers' trip
Dear freshers,
After our orientation week together, we certainly don’t want the fun and getting to know each other to end straight away, which is why we’re planning a freshers’ trip with you. More details will follow later here, on Instagram and during our orientation week.
We’re sooooo looking forward to it!
Schedule
To mark the start of your degree programme in style and help you get off to a good start, we’d love to welcome you to the beautiful city of Oldenburg during O-Week (5–9 October 2026)! You’re warmly invited to take part in as many events as possible :)

Monday 5 October 26, 4.00 pm and from 8.00 pm
A city walk to get to know the area and have a Fassbrause or a beer (meeting point: Julius-Mosen-Platz, at 4.00 pm). In the evening, we’ll first take a short break for dinner in town, then we’ll head to the Umbaubar at around 8 pm. You’re also welcome to join us at the Umbaubar later :)
Tuesday 6 October 26, 1.00 pm
Going to the canteen together in small groups (bring your CampusCard if possible). Meeting point: zebra crossing on Uhlhornsweg.
Tuesday, 14.00-15.30 hrs
Help with timetables and general study information in A14 0-030. Please bring a laptop or tablet with you if possible.
Tuesday, 4.00 pm & evening
Flunkyball tournament & Umbaubar
Flunkyball tournament together with the History student body in Gleispark (at the railway station)
If you like, you can go to the Umbaubar afterwards.
Wednesday 7 October 26, 11.30 am–1.00 pm
Help with the timetable and general study information in A13 0-006. Please bring a laptop or tablet with you if possible.
Wednesday, 1.15 pm
Canteen together in small groups (bring your CampusCard if possible). Meeting point: Zebra crossing on Uhlhornsweg (right next to the bridge over the road) or go to the timetable help desk in front of it.
Wednesday, 2.30 pm
Campus Rally
Meeting point: A13 0-006
The Campus Rally is alcohol-free! At the other events too, it’s perfectly normal and fine not to drink alcohol.
Wednesday, from 19.00 hrs
Pub night in the Irish Pub/The Pub at Wallstraße 19, which is also a great place to meet before the interdisciplinary freshers' party at the university.
We meet at 19.00 directly in front of the door. You are also welcome to join us later :)

Programme presentation for the Bachelor’s degree programme in Economics Education in Lecture Theatre G, Room A07
Here, lecturers will provide you with information about the Economic Education programme (not relevant for Political Science students).
