Examination Regulations for the Integrated Media MA

Active participation

As a rule, two module examinations must be taken in each of the six modules (only one module examination in inm760). Active participation by students is required for the successful completion of the modules or the individual components of the modules.

Active participation may include:

  • Regular attendance
  • Participation in classes
  • Preparation and follow-up work on the course material (e.g. minutes, assignments, preparation/reading of texts)
  • Delivering talks, short presentations, keynote presentations, brief presentations, etc.

The applicable criteria for active participation are determined at the start of the module’s teaching sessions in consultation with the students and lecturers. Lecturers decide whether the criteria for active participation have been met, in consultation with the module coordinators where necessary.
How active participation is documented (cumulative course result sheet, module result sheet, etc.) must be agreed with the lecturers!
