Application Process for PhD Program
If you are interested in pursuing a PhD degree at the we.b please pay attention to the application process.
Step 1 | Getting in contact with potential supervisor by e-mail; the mail shoud include the following attachements a) A resumé b) Transcripts of degrees c) Sample of academic work (e.g. a publication or Master Thesis) d) Explanatory notes pertaining to the potential research topic |
Step 2 | In case of a positive response the applicant will be asked to write an outline |
Step 3 | In case the outline is accepted the candidate will be invited to present at the we.b research seminar; this leads to the final decision if the candidate is accepted as a doctoral research student of the we.b team |
Step 4 | External candidates are obliged to update their research related methodological competencies in an appropriate documented way. |
In case of cumulative dissertation proposals, we adhere to the criteria established by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Erziehungswissenschaft (DGfE).
