The aim of the Oldenburg School is to promote and sustainably improve the quality of research and training of young scientists from the degree to the postdoctoral phase. To this end, targeted programmes are made available for the transitional phase between degree and doctorate and all interested academics are supported in developing their own events. The organisers attract national and international (early career) researchers to the university with a broad-based call for proposals and specifically invited speakers. For this reason, the Oldenburg School offers both young academics and participating internal and external university lecturers an interdisciplinary forum for the further development of their projects and long-term networking.
