Information about starting your studies
We are delighted that you are joining our student body! Your orientation week will take place in October, and of course we have put together a small timetable for you - as befits future teachers. Whether you have questions or just want to meet new people. We have plenty of events on offer during O-Week to help you find your way around the university and its system.
You can look forward to informative and fun activities that will hopefully brighten up your start at university.
You can find all the information on our Instagram page - follow us to make sure you don't miss anything on the programme!
But wait, what is a Student council and a student body anyway?
A Student council is an elected group of students who work in an organised way for the rights of all students of the respective subject and organise informative events and entertainment evenings. We - the Teacher Student Council - are therefore committed to all students who are studying their degree programmes with the professional goal of becoming a teacher.
The student body Lehramt comprises all students with the career goal of becoming a teacher. So probably you too? If this is the case, we recommend that you register in the student body's community forum so that you don't miss out on any important information. :)
In the meantime: Here is a short introductory video in which we give you some initial tips on student life at the University of Oldenburg and how to create a timetable
