Exciting events for teachers

As a Student council, we would like to expand the range of events for student teachers - both in the area of teacher training and leisure activities.

To this end, we regularly invite speakers for workshops and lectures. However, as the organisation of such events is very time-consuming, the Chalk Dust Initiative Oldenburg was brought into being. This group of volunteer students is committed to improving teacher training and has already successfully implemented numerous projects. These include the "Learning Journey" and "School of the Future" projects.

Below you will find some impressions of exciting events that have been organised by the Student council or the chalk dust initiative in the past. Information about upcoming events can be found on our Instagram page and as announcements on Stud.IP.

Do you have any ideas for future events or requests? Then please write to us!

13.05.2024: Living with autism - an autobiographical lecture with Julian Leske

Why did fixed lesson structures play an important role for him as a pupil? Why can visits to the doctor be really stressful for him? And how does he feel about love?

Tomorrow we will get answers to questions like these from Julian Leske, who was diagnosed with Asperger's autism at the age of 18. In a 90-minute lecture, Leske will provide fascinating insights into his life and his world of perception. In addition to important stages of his life and education, he also shares his experiences of dealing with the healthcare system.

School exhibition "We are pART of culture" in the lecture theatre centre A14

In co-operation with SchwuRef, we exhibited the poster exhibition "We are pART of culture" from 7 November 2025 to 21 November 2025. The exhibition is part of the non-profit project "100 % Mensch", which is funded by the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth and the Federal Agency for Civic Education. The exhibition shows queer personalities who have made a significant contribution to European history but are all too often forgotten.
