What we do
What we do
As the Teacher Student Council, we represent the entire student body of the teacher training programme at the University of Oldenburg. We organise a variety of events for you, but most of our work takes place in the background. To make our work easier to understand, all the projects we work on together as a team are listed below...
Are you interested in our work or would you like to get involved?
We are always happy to welcome new members! Please contact us at or simply drop by at our weekly FS meeting. More information about our FS meeting in our Community Forum on Stud.IP :)
Answering questions about the teaching profession
We are the point of contact for all student teachers and all those who want to become one! You can of course drop by our FS meeting at any time with your concerns or write to us by email or on Instagram (@lehramt_oldenburg).
Committee work
As a student body, we of course meet once a week. However, there are also several other committees on which we are represented and in which we represent the interests of student teachers. We also have an influence on the professors who are newly appointed.
These include
- KoaLa - Conference of all student teachers: KoaLa sees itself as the nationwide representation of all student teachers and conference of the relevant student representatives.
- FF1: This is a committee in which at least one member from each student body of School 1, 2 and 3 is represented. It deals with seats on various committees of School 1, reports from these committee meetings (new resolutions, changes to examination regulations, etc.) and general dialogue between the student bodies.
- F3V: The F3V meets every Tuesday at 6 pm in the ASTA corridor during the semester. It is a meeting of all student bodies at which the representatives exchange news, announce events and other dates and submit financial applications to the ASTA.
- DiZCouncil: The DiZ Council is the council of the didactic centre. The meetings take place monthly on a Wednesday from 14:00 to approx. 16:00 in the DiZ.
- Educational Sciences Commission: This commission plans and organises the courses offered in all areas of specialisation and educational sciences in the Master's degree. We have a decisive influence on the seminars and their content.
Violations of the examination regulations
Of course, we are also a point of contact if there are any violations of the examination regulations. You can contact us specifically in these cases and we will clarify the offence on your behalf while respecting your privacy.
Contact: or in the meeting on Wednesday, 10-12 a.m., A04 1-112 (only during the lecture period, currently online)
You can access the examination regulationshere.
University information days
On this day, everyone is invited to the university's lecture theatre centre (in A14). The university will provide information about studying at the University of Oldenburg. Of course, we will also be there as the student body for teaching and will be on hand to provide you with advice and support.
You will get answers to the following questions:
- What can I study?
- How do I apply?
- What can I study without an Abitur?
- How can I organise a study abroad?
- How can I finance my studies?
- Where can I live?
Chalk Dust Initiative
The Kreidestaub Initiative is a student initiative within the student body of the teaching profession.
Since the beginning of 2017, we have been coming together to plan and organise the "School of the Future" series of events. Our collaboration began with questions like these:
"What could alternatives for a school of the future look like?"
"As future teachers, can we help shape the school?"
"And - if so - how can we do that?"
With our series of events, we offer students and other interested parties the opportunity to take a closer look at these questions. Together, we want to critically reflect on the German school system and look at alternative school concepts, inviting experts who are committed to a "school of the future" either on an academic basis or as teachers/school leaders.
Would you like to support us with the planning and implementation? Do you have any questions about our series or perhaps even suggestions for other speakers?

Lectures and workshops
We want to enrich the teacher training programme and therefore regularly invite speakers for workshops and lectures. The Kreidestaub Initiative, which is a large part of the student body, regularly organises series of events with the theme: School of the Future.
Further development of the teacher training programme
We believe that there is still a lot of potential in teacher training and are committed to further developing the programme. This includes, for example, the learning journey that we introduced and organised. This is a seminar in which students travel to schools with interesting concepts and report on them.
We are also in contact with the Didactic Centre (DiZ) to initiate workshops and seminars that advance teacher training.
Master's graduation ceremonies
Every semester, we support the graduation ceremony of all Master of Education students with a large champagne reception and a short speech.
More information about the dates.
Uni Night of Clubs
The Uni Night of Clubs takes place every semester. On this evening, almost all clubs in Oldenburg open their doors for just one ticket. You can buy your ticket in advance or at the box office in the clubs and get free entry to all clubs that take part.
O-Week and Freshers' Trip
We also offer a lot during the orientation week. We'll help you draw up your timetable, offer university rallies and organise games and film evenings so that you can get your first semester off to a perfect start.
You can find all events here!
We also offer a freshers' trip. On one of the first weekends of the winter semester, we take around 30 first-year students to a conference centre and have lots of fun, a programme and space for new experiences.
You can find more information about the freshers' trip here!
Werewolf game evenings
We play werewolf once a month during the lecture period - you are cordially invited! These are always exciting and very funny evenings.
Werewolf is a group game in which each person is given a character. After short moderated action phases comes the really good part: heated discussions in which the guilty werewolves are hopefully exposed. It doesn't matter whether you know the game or not, everyone is welcome and everything will be explained.
