The Student council
The Student council
What is the Student council?
Everyone who studies engineering at the University of Oldenburg is a member of the engineering student body. The Student council is the elected representation of the students of the subject Engineering. The members of the student council are elected at the annual student council general assembly (F2V). Alternatively, you can also join the Student council at any time by voting at a later date. We are always happy to welcome new members, as members always leave when they finish their studies.
What does the Professional Council do?
Generally speaking, the subject student council is responsible for representing the interests of students on the course. That is why it is very important to us that you let us know what your interests are. Otherwise, we will assume that your interests are the same as ours.
Responsibilities:
- Committee work (StuKo; F3V; ITB; FK V-student bodies, Appointments Committee)

- Organisation of the orientation week
- Planning of excursions
- Acting as a liaison between students and lecturers
- Keeping students informed (about dates, excursions, events, news, etc. → it’s worth following the student body on Instagram;)
- Organising the summer party and the Christmas party
You can find out who is responsible for which task here.
