SEAS Closing Event

Please Note
The closing event is cancelled and will be rescheduled in Jan 2023

We are pleased to celebrate our SEAS journey through the closing event of the SEAS Graduate School on 13 November from 14:00 to 16:00 at OFFIS – Institute for Information Technology.

This event marks an important milestone in the promotion of interdisciplinary collaboration in research at our university. In SEAS, computer science, law, psychology and social sciences have worked together to answer the question of how the digital revolution should be managed in a way that is compatible with the normative and ethical foundations of libertarian civil societies, which are a prerequisite for modern democratic statehood. SEAS has explored this question in selected domains from the fields of mobility, energy and health. SEAS was made possible by joint funding from Faculties I, II and VI and with the University's Presidential Board.

In this event, we want to look back at the Research Training Group, the results and the interdisciplinary work. We also want to take a look at the challenges of the Research Training Group and what we can learn from it for future projects of this kind. During the event we will give an overview of the results from the different SEAS projects. A poster exhibition will give the opportunity to dive deeper into the results and to talk to the PhD students and PIs of the projects. In the relaxed atmosphere of the OFFIS Lounge there will be plenty of room for professional and personal exchange with drinks and snacks.
