Markus Tepe is a professor of Political Science at the University of Oldenburg. He received his PhD in political economy at the Freie Universität Berlin. He was a Visiting Scholar at The Europe Center at Stanford University and the Leitner Program in Political Economy at Yale University. His research focuses on applying insights from behavioral social science and decision theory to improve our understanding of complex human/machine interactions in safety-critical domains. His research has been published in journals such as Journal of Public Administration Research and Theory, Political Psychology, Rationality and Society, the European Journal of Political Research or the European Journal of Political Economy.
