Profile

Since 2001, Wolfgang Müskens has worked as a researcher at the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg, Faculty of Educational and Social Sciences. Working in the field of Recognition of Prior Learning for more than 15 years, Wolfgang has been involved in many projects on APL (Accreditation of Prior Learning), RPL, and PLAR (Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition). He contributed to the establishment of Germany’s first PLAR-service at the University Oldenburg in 2017. 

His academic background is a Doctorate in personality psychology. He studied at the Universities of Düsseldorf and Koblenz-Landau, where he earned his degree in 2001. With regards to methods, he is interested in structure-giving techniques like Latent Class Analysis and Factor Analysis.
