I am a research associate in the Media Informatics and Multimedia Systems Group in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Oldenburg. I received my doctorate in Computer Science from University of Colorado Boulder (United States) where my work focused on empowering children to craft their own personal health technologies. 

My interests are in tangible, ambient, and wearable technologies that monitor and present information in novel and aesthetically pleasing ways. Particularly, I am interested in building and evaluating these interactive technologies to solve problems in various domains including health, craft technology, computational education, and play.
