Aims of the module
The module explores subject-specific issues in gender studies in depth and examines possible links to concepts of inter- and transdisciplinarity. Based on students’ individual academic goals and priorities within their degree programme or for future career paths, the courses are designed to help students develop their own academic profiles.

(Sub-)modules and non-module-based courses from all subjects across the Schools that incorporate gender perspectives.
- You can therefore make a selection of individual courses from the advanced modules and include them in the free-choice module, or you can attend courses from other Schools and include these in the free-choice module. The latter is only permitted in consultation with the academic advisory service.

- Presentation (15 to a maximum of 30 minutes, written paper of up to 10 pages)
- or written exam (max. 90 minutes)
- or oral examination (max. 20 minutes)
- or portfolio (up to four individual pieces of work)

- Seminar paper (abstract 1–2 pages, main text 10–15 pages)
