What does a computer look like on the inside? What components are there and what functions do they have? And what does the "inner life" of a desktop computer have to do with that of a laptop, a games console or a smartphone?
We unravel the mystery of the mysterious "black box" and take a look inside the technical devices that (most) pupils have only ever seen from the outside. They learn the basics of the technical structure, recognise the differences and similarities between the various
devices and experience that it is not that difficult to open these devices themselves, e.g. to replace or repair components.
