This module focuses on global water consumption and virtual water. The importance of water for life on this planet is discussed and the supposedly careless use of this resource is addressed using a number of examples. In the practical part of this module, the use of water-saving aerators is used as an example to show how water can be saved in everyday life. This example is transferred to the students' own school so that they can work out the ecological and economic consequences for the school and its water consumption of a comprehensive switch to energy-saving aerators.
