4th Research Symposium
The 4th Research Symposium of the PBS-Europe Network was held on November 3-4, 2022, at the University of Jyväskylä, Finland. This event was organized as part of the broader European ProSchool Conference and offered both in-person and online participation options.
The symposium was organized by a team of distinguished researchers:
- Prof. Dr. Anna-Maria Hintz and Dr. Michael Paal from the University of Oldenburg, Germany
- Prof. Dr. Hannu Savolainen from the University of Eastern Finland, Finland
- Dr. Vesa Närhi from the University of Jyväskylä, Finland
The primary focus of this symposium was to examine the current state of research in Positive Behavior Support (PBS) across Europe and beyond. Key areas of interest included:
- Recent evaluation results
- Methodological issues
- Other current research topics in PBS
The event aimed to facilitate networking and knowledge exchange among PBS researchers and practitioners from various European countries. The symposium featured:
- Paper presentations with moderated discussions
- A poster session
- Contributions in English, including keynote presentations, panel discussions, and
- Workshops in Finnish as part of the broader conference
This symposium provided an excellent opportunity for researchers to present their work, engage in discussions, and foster collaborations within the PBS community.
