Excursions

Three technical explorations with preparation and follow-up must be completed within the Bachelor's programme. Special needs teachers have time for this in the Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes, all others must complete this in the Bachelor's degree programme.

The aims of the technical exploration are (cf. HÜTTNER (2005): Technik Unterrichten):

  • Investigating the relationship and effect between people and technology
  • To uncover problems and deficiencies in the development and application of technology
  • Exploring technology in the socio-ecological reference system, in its historical development and in the context of its demonstrable influences on people and nature
  • Analysing the relationship and impact between the economics of technology and the ecology of technology
  • Understand technical exploration as a subject-specific method of the subject of technology

Participation in the preparation, follow-up and realisation of the exploration is mandatory for the certificate for a technical exploration in the subject of technology.

All information on upcoming excursions is forwarded via the student body's mailing list.
If you are not on the mailing list, you can subscribe to it. To do this, enter "Fachschaft Technik" in the search function at StudIP and register for the event. (If you have any problems, please contact the student body directly:

Students with special education as their first subject can complete the three explorations throughout their degree programme (Bachelor's and Master's).

A report must be prepared for each technical exploration. More detailed information on the form and content of the reports can be found in the respective preparation programme.

We recommend that you do not postpone participation in the excursions until the last semester, as places are limited and you may have to wait for the next excursion.

You can find impressions of the last excursions on our Instagram channel.
