DS2: Germanwatch climate expedition
Introduction
"We use examples such as glacier retreat, the accumulation of severe weather events and the retreat of Arctic ice to visualise the consequences of climate change. The effects of changing global eating habits and the worldwide hunger for raw materials can also be experienced by comparing satellite images. The Germanwatch climate expedition makes the effects visible, the pupils can work out the background and connections and discuss vulnerability and responsibility. The presentations lead to the joint development of realistic private and political options for action. The Germanwatch Climate Expedition is suitable for pupils in grades 5 to 13 of all school types, sets priorities in consultation with the teachers and comes to your school nationwide."
