Since 15.04.2023 the core facility has a new staff member:

Dr. Levent Gütay, previously member of the Institute of Physics, has joined the core facility team.

Being a physicist and expert in optical spectroscopy methods, particularly on microscopic length scales, he will fit perfectly into the existing team. Among his former colleagues often times jokingly named as Dr. Good-Eye, Dr. Levent Gütay is looking forward to help optimizing the utilization of existing optical systems and to guide users in achieving the best possible optical results and to understand and avoid possible artefacts.

We further would like to say good bye to Dr. Vita Solovyeva, who will not be part of the team any longer, as she has decided to move on and has shifted to a full position at the electron microscopy service unit. We highly appreciate her contributions for the core facility and wish her good luck for the future.
