DS4: Glue repair path shoe sole
Introduction
In this lesson, the pupils identify a path for gluing detached shoe soles. First, they assign the instructions to the picture cards. In the next step, the picture cards are put in the correct order together with the corresponding instructions. The assignment of the instructions and the order of the repair steps is determined by the pupils together and discussed in the plenary. The missing steps are completed independently. The repair path determined in this way serves as the basis for the actual repair of the shoe sole in the second lesson.
Preparations
The picture cards and instructions should be printed out and laminated.
Notes:
If possible, the pupils should bring their own shoes (sports shoes, street shoes, wellies, etc.) to the next lesson. It is important to ensure that the shoes have a detached or broken sole. The appropriate repair adhesive should be available for the next lesson and organised in good time. In preparation for the lesson, a collection campaign for broken shoes can be planned at school.
