Profile

Berrin CEFA is a Research Associate at the University of Oldenburg, where she is also pursuing her Ph.D. and serving as the coordinator for the Center for Educational Research (COER). Her research primarily focuses on the digitalization of higher education, with a particular emphasis on developing student support eco-systems to address challenges such as student dropout, discontinuum, and retention. Her work specializes in research methodologies including configurative systematic reviews, case study design, and qualitative research. 

Berrin holds an MSc in Curriculum and Instruction from Ankara University. Before joining the University of Oldenburg, she gained extensive experience in higher education as an Instructor of English and Curriculum Developer/Level Coordinator at a foundation university in Ankara, Turkey. In this role, she was responsible for designing the curriculum, coordinating instructional staff, and integrating educational technologies, professional development, and extracurricular activities into the curriculum. Additionally, she conducted workshops and represented her university at various academic forums, where she presented on the integration of technology into curriculum design.
