Prof. Dr. Mark Siebel
Short Bio
Mark Siebel is Professor of Theoretical Philosophy at the University of Oldenburg. He received his PhD and his habilitation in philosophy at the University of Hamburg; in the intervening time, he was a research assistant at the University of Leipzig. His areas of research lie within (formal) epistemology, philosophy of mind and language, the history of analytic philosophy and, as of recently, also include need-based justice. His papers have appeared in journals such as Erkenntnis, Journal for the History of Analytical Philosophy, Kant-Studien, Linguistics and Philosophy, Philosophical Studies, Synthese and The Monist. He was board member of the German Society for Analytic Philosophy for nine years.
