DS7: Security check
Introduction
In this lesson, the previously repaired bicycles are checked for roadworthiness and safety. For this purpose, a course is set up together with the pupils which, in addition to checking the bikes for technical safety, also addresses motor safety. The focus here should be on error-friendliness and fairness within the group. At the end of the cycling unit, the course should first and foremost make cycling fun and provide tips on how to check safety independently.
Preparations
The teacher should provide all the materials for the course in advance or have made them themselves. Alternatively, the course can also be developed together with the pupils. The school playground is suitable for setting up the course. It should be ensured that helmets are available. A sufficient number of worksheets should be available.

* At least 70 wooden blocks
* Track board
* Inclined board, non-slip and stable (safety!)
* Seesaw
* Sign (chalk)
* Approx. 7 slalom poles
* A pole for the brake test
* Spinning top (pole with chain, centre attachment, device for inserting the pole)
* Stopwatch
* Helmet
