On 22 January 2019, students from Carl von Ossietzky University will be screening their thematic film series at CineK, drawn from two modules on performative artistic media practice at the Institute of Art and Visual Culture. Under the direction of Anke Fischer, two experimental film series have been developed since the summer semester of 2018; whilst the contributions are linked by their formal and structural conception, they remain very different in terms of content.
We invite you to the KINO experiential space – admission is free.

For the cinema performance, the students developed a video series collectively. Unpredictable connections arise between films, velvet and shades of grey in the dark auditorium. The assembled interrogations of materiality, man and image machine pass through space and audience in a rather
vague unit of time in the cinema cocoon.
