Me, myself and I

Drawing, painting, object, photography

The exhibition can be seen from 11 June to 5 July 2018 in building A14. It shows selected works from the project course of the same name and is open Mon - Thu from 8.00 am - 8.00 pm and Fri from 8.00 am - 6.00 pm. As part of the two-semester project course "Me, Myself and I", the students used their own memories or life situations as the basis for an artistic work. The choice of media was up to them. The results were very different.

Anna Badel, Rebecca Klingelhöfer and Maximilien Redleffs explored self-portraits through painting and drawing. Friedericke Kumpe systematically investigates the contents of her bookshelf, resulting in conceptual graphic realisations. Memories of a one-year stay in Israel as a volunteer are the subject of Hendrik Meyer's graphic novel "Sky Valley", a continuation of a work created in another course. Jemima Müller uses clay to develop object sketches of situations she has experienced herself. Dream worlds are the theme of Charlotte Maipas' work, in which she interprets images of well-known works from art history. Kim Sophie Hansen's work as a florist and her role as a mother find their way into objects and paintings. Sarah Helmts documents her everyday life with quick, spontaneous sketches, while Nina Moß takes a very scientific approach to the subject of the hand, exploring different sculptural and graphic approaches.
