‘unscharf’ is a joint exhibition project by students from the University of Oldenburg and the BBK Oldenburg. Taking the concept of ‘unschärfe’ (blur) as their starting point, the works explore photographic, sculptural, installation-based and conceptual aspects of a phenomenon that extends far beyond the technical concept of the image. In this context, ‘unsharpness’ emerges both as an aesthetic principle and as a metaphor for the ambivalences of our present day. The exhibition brings together diverse artistic positions that explore the productive interstices between the visible and the hidden, precision and ambiguity.
