Presentation Week of the Institute of Art and Visual Culture, 2 - 5 July 2013
At the end of the lecture period, the Institute of Art and Visual Culture invites you to a presentation week for the first time in a long time:
Students from the subjects of Art and Media (B.A. and M.Edu.), Art and Media Studies (M.A.) and Integrated Media (M.A.) will be showing their artistic work in studios, exhibition and seminar rooms and providing an insight into current projects and works as part of guided tours, tours, presentations and screenings. Various courses open their doors and present selected contributions by students and invite students to join in discussions.
The presentation week will open on Tuesday 2 July at 6 pm in Prinzenpark (between A8 and A9).
Afterwards, there will be a tour of the student exhibition in the open studio and the student body invites you to a celebration.
From 7.30 pm, works of artistic media practice will be on display under the title "Survive in Video". The exhibitions can be seen on 3 and 4 July from 11 am to 7 pm and on 5 July from 11 am to 5 pm.
The workshop "Ghosts of Colonialism: Aesthetics, Memory, Resistance" will take place on 3 and 4 July: It begins on Wednesday evening with a video programme by Nanna Heidenreich (Braunschweig), followed on Thursday by lectures and presentations by Melanie Ulz (Osnabrück), Brigitta Kuster (Berlin) and Susanne Leeb (Basel).
Also on 4 July, the opening event of the new Helene Lange Kolleg for young female academics "Queer Studies and Intermediality: Art - Music - Media Culture" will take place, a co-operation with the Institute of Music and the University of the Arts Bremen.
On 5 July at 10 a.m., there will be a guided tour of the exhibition "Zweifach" in the Galerie Kegelbahn and the lecture hall building.
