"the same is not the same - cluster analysis"
A collective video space with works by students of the Carl von Ossietzky University Oldenburg opens on 13 January 2016 at 7pm in the Aquarium, an experimental exhibition format of the Edith-Russ-Haus for Media Art Oldenburg. Students of the Masters of Education and the BA degree programme in Art and Media will present their video works in a jointly composed spatial installation. The projections and monitors will play on the window front of the Edith-Russ-Haus in the setting of a snapshot of the work phase. Under the title: "das selbe ist nicht das selbe" (the same is not the same), the students bring together a collection of rhythmised videos. The video compositions are the subject of an agglomeration analysis, which is a method for discovering similarity structures (in Computing Science). Daily routines and the diversity of end devices in the media landscape form the cornerstones of the investigation of differences in the appearance of media images. The public showcase of image and text processing can be viewed until 27 January 2016.
