At the centre of the two-semester aesthetic project ‘What’s that got to do with me?’ was the question of how and where themes for individual artistic practice can be found and how they can be realised. This allowed participants to develop projects based on their individual life stories, experiences or surroundings, or to explore their own aesthetic interests, questions and experiments. The question “What does that have to do with me?” could serve as a starting point as well as a conclusion to the project, guiding the search for a thematic approach, the exploration of formal questions, or the examination of artistic positions, styles and techniques.
