Artistically designed book designs based on texts by Franz Kafka, Katie Melua, Udo Lindenberg and others are on display in the foyer of Oldenburg University Library. The exhibition will open on 24 October at 19:00. It can be seen until 19 November during the opening hours of the library (Mon. - Fri., 8.00 - 24.00, Sat. and Sun. 10.00 - 18.00). The exhibition is organised by the University of Oldenburg's subject Art and Media and the University Library.

Students of the subject Art and Media at the University of Oldenburg have developed the illustrations and covers in a seminar. They used various forms of design: from watercolours to photographed picture objects.

German studies graduate Dr Mareile Oetken laid the theoretical foundations for the illustration of the literary originals in the seminar, while art lecturer Natascha Kaßner from the Institute of Cultural Studies supervised the practical implementation. Admission to the exhibition is free.
