I use filmed nature sequences and underlay them with a distorted voice talking about 'the monster'. I was interested in the effect of linking image and sound, which seem incompatible.

An often monotonous carpet of sound runs through parts of my video. Sometimes clearly understandable, sometimes far too quiet and drowned out by other content from the audio-visual representations. The voice tells us something about people's lives and behaviour, about 'obedient' and 'disobedient' behaviour. It tells us that there are opposites and that life is characterised by them, by both sides: subordinating oneself and sometimes swimming against the current.
