Liebe Physikstudierende & Co,

Das neue Semester hat begonnen und ist ein Grund, wieder viele Veranstaltungen zu planen. Wir haben wirklich viel mitzuteilen, aber es ist sehr viel cooles dabei. 

Für alle neuen: Das hier ist der Newsletter der Fachschaft Physik. In "regelmäßigen" Abständen werdet ihr hier über Veranstaltungen und vielem mehr informiert. Heute stehen Werwolfabend, Pubabend, Latex-Kurs, Fachschaftsvollversamlung + Wahl, Spieleabend, Gaming Abend, deinPulli-Bestellrunde, Tutorenstellen und Schach-Interessierte auf dem Programm.

 

**Werwolfabend am 02.11. um 18 Uhr** 

Es herrscht Unruhe im kleinen Dorf Düsterwald. Werwölfe wurden gesichtet, und ihnen gilt es entgegenzutreten. Wir laden euch ein zu einer gruseligen Jagd! Für gratis Snacks sowie Essen und Trinken zum Selbstkostenpreis ist gesorgt. 

Bonus: Gratis Kürbissuppe für alle, die in Verkleidung kommen!

 

**Pubabend am Donnerstag, 03.11 um 19.00 Uhr**

Am Donnerstag, den 03.11 um 19 Uhr findet wieder ein Pub-Abend in unserem Lieblingspub “The Pub” in der Wallstraße statt. Hier könnt ihr bei gutem Trinken und Essen mit anderen Studierenden und Fachschaftlern quatschen, neue Leute kennenlernen und Spaß haben. Kommt gerne vorbei, wir freuen uns auf euch!

 

**Latex-Kurs am 03.11 und 10.11 18 - 21 Uhr**

Es ist wieder soweit, es wird einen LaTeX-Kurs geben. Hier werdet ihr die Grundlagen lernen und ein paar hilfreiche Tricks und Kniffe. LaTeX ist ein alternatives Textsatzprogramm zu Microsoft Word, welches in der Physik sehr verbreitet ist aufgrund teils einfacherer Formatierung und dem Setzen von Gleichungen.

Da im Raum W03 1-148 nicht jeder Platz mit einer Steckdose ausgestattet ist, bringt aufgeladene Geräte (am besten ein Laptop, ein Tablet mit Tastatur geht auch) oder ein Aufladekabel mit Verlängerungskabel oder Mehrfachsteckdose mit. 

Für englischsprachige Studierende wird es einen englischsprachigen Kurs im Raum W02 1-156 geben. 

Eine Anmeldung ist nicht erforderlich.


**Fachschaftsvollversammlung am Dienstag den 08.11 um 16 Uhr in W02 1-143**

Am Dienstag, den 08.11. um 16 Uhr ist es wieder soweit: Wir haben unsere jährliche Fachschaftsvollversammlung im Raum W03 1-143, also eine Versammlung aller Physikstudierenden, wo wir euch einen Überblick über unsere Arbeit geben und ihr euren neuen Fachschaftsrat Physik wählen könnt! Natürlich könnt ihr euch auch zur Wahl aufstellen lassen (bis zum 31.10.2022). Falls ihr an dem Wahl-Termin keine Zeit habt, ist auch eine Vorab-Wahl möglich. Wie, wann, und wo das alles funktioniert, könnt ihr dem Anhang entnehmen. **Spieleabend am Do, 17.11. 18 Uhr in W02 1-143**

Am Donnerstag, den 17.11 findet wieder um 18 Uhr ein Spieleabend statt. Ihr könnt euch dabei an unserer Spielesammlung bedienen oder selbst Spiele mitbringen.

Für Snacks ist gesorgt, Getränke können zum Selbstkostenpreis erworben werden. Wir freuen uns auf euch :)

 

**Gaming Abend  am 30.11 um 18 Uhr in W02 1-143** 

Da das letzte Smash-Turnier ein voller Erfolg war, werden wir nun eine weitere Runde Smash einläuten! Es wurde auch angefragt, ob auch noch andere Spiele gespielt werden könnten?!? Die Frage war natürlich berechtigt und wir erweitern das ganze auf einen Gaming Abend. Dort wird es wie gewohnt eine Anmeldung bezüglich Smash Bros Ultimate geben. Die Türen werden erneut um 18 Uhr geöffnet. Bis 19 Uhr wird sich warmgespielt und ab 19 Uhr beginnt das Turnier. Alle die gerne zugucken wollen, sind herzlichst eingeladen. Wie auch schon angesprochen, werden auch andere Spiele gespielt. Dazu zählen unter anderem auch MarioKart, oder was euer Herz begehrt. Da wir gerne planen wollen, wie viele Leute teilnehmen, bitten wir euch eine kurze Rückmeldung zu geben. Weiterhin benötigen wir erneut eure Hilfe! Solltet ihr eine Switch besitzen, sowie Controller oder Spiele haben, so bringt diese doch gerne mit. Auch Lautsprecher sind herzlich willkommen, da unsere Monitore leider keine Boxen besitzen... Man sieht sich und good Smash!
 

**Pulli-Bestellrunde bei DeinPulli.de** 

Wir wurden mehrfach auf unsere Physik-Pullis angesprochen und können euch jetzt mitteilen, dass es wieder eine Bestellrunde gibt. Ihr könnt vom 30.10 bis 09.11 auf der Seite [ https://deinpulli.de/de/oldenburg-physik ]https://deinpulli.de/de/oldenburg-physik bestellen. Die Pulligrößen fallen etwas kleiner aus, bedenkt das bei eurer Bestellung. 


**Tutorenstellen Physikpraktikum Mediziner**

Es werden noch acht Tutoren für Physikpraktikum für Mediziner im Februar gesucht. Falls ihr Interesse habt, meldet euch bei Volker Hohmann ([  ]volker.hohmann@uol.de). 

 

**Für alle Schach-Interessierten**

Wenn du gerne Schach spielst und andere Personen kennenlernen möchtest, kontaktiere uns doch über Mail ([  ]fsphysik@uol.de). Während der letzten Fachschaftssitzung kam der Wunsch auf einen Fachschafts-internen Schachclub zu etablieren.
Also, wenn du interessiert bist, Leute zu treffen, ein paar Partien zu spielen und vielleicht an Turnieren teilzunehmen oder diese auszurichten, wird bringen euch in Kontakt miteinander.

Dear Physics students & Co,
The new semester started and that’s a reason for us to plan a lot of events.
Although this newsletter is going to be quite long, lots of cool news will be in there.

For all the newbies: This is the newsletter of the Fachschaft Physik. Somewhat regularly you will be informed of events planned by the Fachschaft, useful stuff for your studium and much more.
Today we have Werwolfabend (a role play gaming night), Pubnight, Latex-Course, general assembly and election of the student counsil, game night, e-gaming night, dein-Pulli-orders, student job you can apply for and chess-interessted people how are looking for fellows to play for you.
 

**Werwolve night on Wednesday, November 2nd, at 6 o’clock pm**
“Die Werwölfe von Düsterwald” in English known as “The Werwolves of Millers Hollow” is a card based role play game for larger groups often enjoyed on spooky evenings. You either play as a werewolf trying to hunt down all the villagers, as a villager trying to eliminate all the werewolves and other bad creatures lurking around or as some other single character pursuing your own aim.
Free snacks will be provided as well as food and drinks for little money.
Bonus: Free pumpkin soup if you show up in costume.

 

**Pubnight on Thursday, November 3rd, at 7 pm**
On Thursday, November 3rd from 7 pm, we will have one of our pubnights in our favorite downtown pub, “The Pub”, on Wallstraße. Join us for good food and beer to chat with fellow students, members of our Student Council, and get to know new people and have fun. We are looking forward to seeing you!

 

**Latex-Course on Thursday, November 3rd and 11th, from 6 to 9 o’clock pm**
Another year, another Latex-Course. You will learn the basics, some useful tips and tricks and whatever you might need to get started.
LaTeX is an alternative text program, highly used and appreciated by physic students and lecturers because of its’ simpler formatting and better includability of equations. 
Since sockets and outlets in room W03 1-148 are sparse, please bring charged devices or multiple socker outlets.
A course in English language will be held simultaneously in room W02 1-156.
No registration beforehand needed.

 

**General Assembly on Thursday, November 8th, at 4 o’clock pm**
At Thursday, November 8th at 4 pm is the date of our yearly General Assembly of all Physics Students in W03 1-143, where we present our work, and you can elect your new Student Council of Physics! Of course, you can apply as a candidate to the Student Council election, and absentee voting will be possible as well. How, when, and where all of this will happen is described in the attachments. **Game Night on Thursday, November 17th, on 6 o’clock pm in W02 1-143**
A game night with board games and card games primarily will be held on Thursday. You can either bring your own games or play some out of the games provided by us.
Snacks are available for free as well as drinks for little money. Looking forward to seeing you :) 
 

**E-gaming night on Wednesday, November 30th, at 18 o’clock in W02 1-143**
The last smash-tournament was a complete success, so we will start another round. Ding ding ding!!! As questions have arrived us if other games can be played aswell we will broaden our repertoire to a full on e-gaming night. Other games will of course include MarioKart besides whatever you want to. Like usual there will be a registration for Smash Bros Ultimate. The doors are about to open at 18 o’clock, till 19 o’clock you can warm-up as the tournament starts at 19 sharp. Whoever wants to come by and watch is welcomed.
As we want to plan how many people want to participate we’d like to give a short notice.
Furthermore, your help is needed! If you have a switch, controllers or games, please bring them along. Speakers are also welcome as most of the monitors don’t have any.

**Pullover ordering via DeinPulli.de**
As we have been approached multiple times regarding our physics pullovers, we proudly can announce, that there will be another round of ordering. You  can order them from 30.10. to 09.11 on the website [ https://deinpulli.de/de/oldenburg-physik ]https://deinpulli.de/de/oldenburg-physik. Keep in mind while ordering, the sizes will most likely be smaller than expected.

 

**Student jobs available for Physikpraktikum der Mediziner**
 Currently 8 free student jobs as tutors for February are available. If you are interested, contact Volker Hohmann ([  ]volker.hohmann@uol.de).
The language for the praktica will be German, so keep that in mind if you consider applying.

 

**For chess players**

If you enjoy playing chess and would like to play in person with other physics students, please contact us via email ([  ]fsphysik@uol.de). During the last meeting some students approached us to establish a Fachschafts-internal chess club. So, If you are interested in meeting up, playing some games or even participating or hosting a tournament, we’ll get you in contact with each other.
